A warrant of arrest has been issued for a man from Port Elizabeth who is wanted for an attempted murder which took place in November last year.
Police Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says 47-year-old Rhett Els allegedly stabbed a 65-year-old woman following an argument about a job.
She says the two were driving in Kragga Kamma Road on the 24th of November 2019 when they started arguing about a job that Els promised the victim in Port Alfred.
Naidu says it is alleged that Els then stopped the vehicle and started assaulting the victim, who was forced to the ground and stabbed repeatedly.
She says Els then drove the victim to the hospital where a nurse informed her that they were going to call the police.
Els then grabbed her cellphone and car keys before fleeing the scene.
Naidu says Els is still in possession of the victim's vehicle which is a silver metallic 2014 Volkswagen Polo with registration number HGV 432 EC.
Els does not have a fixed address and is known to frequent the Korsten Area.
