A suspect linked to the mass killings in Bityi last month has been arrested.
Spokesperson Brigadier Tembinkosi Kinana says 34-year-old Sanele Tshisilanga was tracked down in Gauteng, hiding at his girlfriend's flat in Soweto.
He says police also recovered the firearm believed to have been used in the murders.
On the 1st of February seven people, four males and three females aged between 22 and 46 were shot and killed inside a house in Qunu village.
The suspect will appear in the Mthatha Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
