"Wanted man" found dead in PE township

Port Elizabeth police are investigating the murder of a man whose body was found in a street in Govan Mbeki township.

Police spokesperson, Captain Andre Beetge, said the victim was identified as 25-year-old Zolani Menze.

He says there's a rumour doing the rounds that Menze had been wanted by local residents for the past week or so.

However, Beetge says its not clear why.

A case of murder is being investigated and no arrests have been made.
