Striking Walter Sisulu University employees are adamant that they will not return to work until their wage increase demands are met.
This despite an ultimatum by management to negotiate or face a court battle.
WSU's three campuses ground to a halt two weeks ago when members of the unions Nteu and Nehawu, downed tools demanding a wage increase of between 8-10%, while rejecting WSU's offer of 4.2 percent.
The dispute may still go to mediation.
Meanwhile, Walter Sisulu University's application for a court interdict has been postponed to 12th August by the labor court.
Nehawu provincial secretary Xolani Malamlela says they are not fazed by the looming court battle.
"We are still demanding that we be given 10% despite their threats to go to court saying the strike is illegal. We have followed all the procedures so we still stand by our demands until they resolve their current position" Malamlela said.
