The search for the body of a two-year-old girl will continue in Herolds Bay on Friday after her mother's car plunged over the notorious Voëlklip Lookout point on Thursday.
Rescue workers retrieved the body of the 34-year-old woman on Thursday.
Police spokesperson Captain Malcolm Poje says the woman’s eight-year-old son, who managed to escape from the vehicle, is currently being treated at a hospital in George.
A spokesperson for ER24 Ineke Van Huyssteen says it is understood that the vehicle rolled before crashing off the cliff and that the boy managed to escape during the rollover.
She says when they arrived at the scene the boy was sitting with police.
The names of the victims have not yet been released to the media.
