The National Prosecuting Authority has welcomed a South Gauteng High Court ruling on Friday morning which dismissed Vicki Momberg’s appeal.
Momberg was convicted of crimen injuria after using the k-word 48 times in a racist rant after being the victim of a smash and grap incident.
She became the first person to be imprisoned for using the "K" word.
Momberg turned to the High Court in an attempt to have her 2-year jail sentence overturned.
She now has 30 days to petition the Supreme Court of Appeal.
