Port Elizabeth police are investigating several incidents of gang violence in the city's northern suburbs this weekend .
Spokesperson, Capt. Johan Rheeder says a man was killed and three others wounded in a shooting at a tavern in Gelvendale on Saturday evening.
He says two groups became involved in a fight, and the police managed to convince one group to leave.
Rheeder says the group however later returned - this time armed with guns - and opened fire on the other group.
He says no arrests have yet been made.
In another incident in Malabar, one person was hit in the leg, after several shots were fired.
Rheeder says details of the incident are still unclear, and no arrests have been made.
And in Bethelsdorp, police are searching for two suspects, after a man was wounded in a shooting outside a shop late on Saturday evening.
The victim is in a stable condition in hospital.
Rheeder says police are not sure whether the incident is gang related.
