US Civil Rights leader Jesse Jackson arrives in East London

US Civil Rights icon, the Reverend Jesse Jackson, has arrived in East London, where he will be attending this weekend's SA Traditional Music Awards.
The Awards ceremonies will take place at the East London International Convention Centre.
Eastern Cape Arts and Culture MEC, Pemmy Majodina told a media briefing that Jackson will be taken on a tour of Duncan Village before there is a motorcade parade down Oxford Street.
She said there will also be a formal reception at the Audio Visual Centre at the Miriam Makeba Building for him during the course of Friday.
Majodina also defended the expenditure on traveling to the United States to invite civil rights icon, Jesse Jackson, to attend the annual SA Traditional Music Awards in East London this weekend.
"He is not just an ordinary person, this is am international icon, he is a freedom fighter. We had to go and do courtesy which is called Ubuntu which is what SATMA is all about. We give honour and respect to people as it is needed."Majodina.
