Detectives in Gelvandale in Port Elizabeth have opened an inquest docket after the body of a woman, with no visible injuries, was found lying on Standford Road on Tuesday night.
Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says police were patrolling the area at around 7.30 pm when they saw the woman lying near the Cleary Park robots in Standford Road.
She was already dead.
Naidu says the woman had no identification on her and was wearing blue jeans, a dark top and a headscarf.
