A Uitenhage woman in her late twenties was found murdered in her flat on Saturday morning.
Police spokesperson, WO Marianette Olivier says a next door neighbour found the body in the flat in Cross street, and alerted the police.
She says the woman was allegedly strangled and a post mortem will be held to determine the cause of death.
Olivier says the deceased was a pregnant Somalian woman.
She says the motive for the murder is unknown and no arrests have yet been made.
