The body of a man, who claimed he would be resurrected after death, has sparked complaints from his family's neighbours in Tsolo, near Mthatha.
Eastern Cape health department spokesperson, Sizwe Kupelo says the man, who died on Tuesday, had claimed that he would be brought back to life two days after his death.
He says the family accordingly kept the body in their home since his death, and members of his church had visited the body as it lay in state.
Kupelo says local residents began complaining about the smell emanating from the house.
He says a team of health officials, police and forensic workers will visit the family to convince them that the body needs to be buried.
