A 53-year-old Uitenhage woman has died in a freak accident after being hit by the trailer of a truck turning a corner.
Police spokesperson, warrant officer Gerda Swart, says the incident happened on Wednesday afternoon.
She says an articulated truck with two trailers was turning from Bubbs Avenue into Caledon Street when one of the trailers mounted the pavement and ran over the woman on the pavement.
