Uitenhage top cop strikes again

One of Uitenhage's top K-9 cops has done it again.

In less than a week warrant officer Jacques Adlem has managed to confiscate more than R2 million worth of dagga on the same stretch of road.

Police spokesperson, warrant officer Gerda Swart, says Adlem and two other members were on their way to the Patterson court when they saw a vehicle driving recklessly.

Unable to make a quick u-turn on the busy road they later found the bakkie abandoned with 449 kilograms of dagga inside.

She says the drugs have a street value of R900 000.

Last week Adlem, who was off-duty, stopped to help a bakkie driver who had crashed, only to find more than 685 kilograms of dagga on the vehicle valued at R1.3 million.
