Uitenhage: Suspects arrested for attempted business robbery

Uitenhage police arrested two suspects in the early hours of Tuesday morning following an attempted robbery at  business premises in Durban Street. 

Warrant officer Gerda Swart says SAPS members responded to a burglary in progress shortly before 4.30 am and found two men aged 28 and 40 inside the premises. 
One was in the roof and the other was hiding in an office. 

Swart says they appeared to have used a bolt cutter to gain access to the building. 

The suspects were arrested on the spot and will appear in the Uitenhage Magistrate's court soon on charges of housebreaking and theft.
