Uitenhage police are investigating a case of murder after the body of a man was found next to a burnt down shack in Kwanobhule.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Basil Seekoei, says the man, believed to be in his late forties, was found early on Monday morning after a neighbour alerted the police.
Seekoei says the man's body had been burnt beyond recognition, and upon further investigation, police discovered his hands were tied behind his back.
Police are appealing to the public to come forward with any information that may assist with their investigation.
