Uitenhage police have arrested more than 80 suspects for various crimes during operations over the weekend.
Spokesperson, Warrant Officer Gerda Swart, says 25 fines were also issued.
She says the suspects were arrested for crimes ranging from rape, robbery and the illegal possession of drugs, to driving under the influence of alcohol and burglary.
Swart says the operations were conducted from Friday evening until Monday morning.
