Uitenhage police together with members from Crime Intelligence arrested a 33-year old man on a charge of corruption on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer, Gerda Swart, says the man is also a suspect in a burglary case which took place in December last year.
Swart says it is alleged that the suspect attempted to purchase the case docket that implicates him in the crime.
She says the man allegedly offered the investigating officer a substantial sum of money for the docket to disappear.
The suspect will appear in the Uitenhage Magistrates court on Thursday.
