Uitenhage businessman killed in accident

 A Uitenhage businessman has been killed and a truck driver seriously injured in an accident on the R-75 between Uitenhage and Kirkwood on Wednesday night.

Police warrant officer Gerda Swart says the businessman's four by four collided with a delivery truck at the T-junction from the R-75 towards the Kirkwood/Addo turnoff.

Kirkwood police have opened a culpable homicide docket.

The name of the deceased, who was in his forties, has not yet been released.
