Police in Gqeberha are appealing to the public for assistance in apprehending the suspects who shot four people in Motherwell on Wednesday night, killing two people.
SAPS spokesperson, Lieutenant-Colonel Siphokazi Mawisa, said two other people, a man and a woman, were wounded.
She said the incident happened in unit 12 in Motherwell at around 9 pm when the four were watching television.
Mawisa said three balaclava-clad gunmen stormed into the house on Dyakalashe Street and opened fire.
She said a female victim died on the scene, while another woman died on arrival at the hospital.
Colonel Mawisa said the two other victims, a man and a woman, were rushed to hospital for treatment.
“The motive for the incident is unknown at this stage.
“The identity of the deceased persons is withheld until a formal identification process is concluded,” she said.
