Port Elizabeth police have arrested two suspected copper thieves in Deal Party.
Spokesperson, Capt. Sandra Janse van Rensburg says two members from Mount Road police station were on their way to work on Saturday morning, when they saw two men walking in Old Grahamstown Road, carrying copper pipes and wire.
She says the police members pulled over and questioned the suspects.
Janse van Rensburg says it was established that the copper was stolen from a business in Deal Party.
The two, aged 23 and 25 were arrested at the scene, and will appear in court on Monday for being in possesion of suspected stolen property.
