Two suspects have been arrested in Cambridge, East London for possession of suspected stolen goods and tampering with the essential infrastructure.
Police spokesperson, Captain Nkosikho Mzuku says information was received from the public that copper cables were stored at a residential property in Cambridge location.
She says police intercepted the suspects while they were transporting the cables in a silver Toyota Avanza.
The cables were reported stolen from Transnet in East London.
Their vehicle was also confiscated.
The two suspects, aged 31 and 32, are due to appear in the East London Magistrate's Court soon.
