Two people were airlifted to hospital on Friday morning following a collision between two trucks on the N-2 outside Port Elizabeth.
Provincial traffic spokesperson, Charles Bramwell, said a section of the road had to be closed.
“This morning just after 7am we had accident on the N2 between Port Elizabeth and Kinkelbos close to Hougham Park. A truck hit another stationary truck that was standing on the yellow line," he said.
"It is suspected that the sun could have blinded this truck driver. Both driver and passengers have been seriously injured in this accident and the driver of the front truck has been slightly injured" Bramwell added.
