Detectives in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro are looking for two people from Bethelsdorp who were reported as missing last week.

Colonel Priscilla Naidu says 58-year-old Stoffels "Tomazile" Leppan was last seen by his sister on the 31st of May and was reported missing on Saturday.

He told his family that he was going to work as a gardener in Westering at an address not known to the family.

Colonel Naidu says the other missing person is 38-year-old  Babalwa Makwabe who works at Food Lovers Market in William Moffat.

She was last seen on the morning of the 2nd of June waiting for a lift outside her home in Extension 32, Bethelsdorp.

Makwabe, who was wearing her company uniform, never showed up for work and when she did not return home in the evening her family raised the alarm.

Anyone who may have seen either of the missing persons or who may have information about their whereabouts is urged to contact the police.
