Two people were killed in two separate accidents in Gqeberha this weekend.
Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says in the first accident on Saturday night, a man died when his Toyota Quantum minibus overturned on the Van Stadens Road towards Blue Horizon Bay.
She says the driver, Duwain Bergens was found lying dead next to the vehicle.
Colonel Naidu says it is unclear how many passengers were in the minibus as passengers were already taken to the hospital before police arrived on the scene.
Meanwhile, tributes are pouring in on Facebook for Bergens who was described as a wonderful human being with a humble soul who will be sorely missed.
Colonel Naidu says in the second accident a 19-year-old teenager from Gelvandale was killed in an alleged head-on collision on the corners of Cape Road and Brabant Road in Kabega Park.
She says it is alleged that a white Chevy Spark and grey VW Polo were involved.
All injured persons were already taken to hospital when police arrived.
The deceased female was found in the passenger seat of the Chevy Spark.
Her name will be released once her next of kin has been informed.
