New names for Cradock and Morgans Bay Gazetted

The Eastern Cape Department of Sport, Arts and Culture has Gazetted the latest name changes for the Eastern Cape.

Cradock, situated in the Chris Hani District will now be known as Nxuba while the coastal town of Morgan Bay will be known as Gxarha.

Other name changes Gazetted for the Eastern Cape include Mooiplaas which was changed to Kwenxurha.

The South African Geographical Names Council held several public hearings earlier this year before the changes were Gazetted.
