Eastern Cape police have arrested two men for the unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition during an intelligence-driven operation at a farm near Stutterheim.
Spokesperson, Capt. Mali Govender says several firearms, including two rifles with a magazine and thirty-one rounds of ammunition, were seized after a 40-year old man was arrested during Friday's operation.
She says a second suspect, a 54-year old man, was also arrested and police confiscated a .22 pistol, two 12 gauge shotguns and more than a 100 rounds of ammunition.
The suspects will appear in court soon.
