Eastern Cape police are investigating, after two people were killed over the weekend in separate murders.
Police spokesperson, WO Gerda Swart says tha body of a 58-year-old man was found with several stab wounds in his chest in Kwanobuhle, near Uitenhage.
She says the motive for the murder is unclear, and no arrests have yet been made.
Swart says a 24-year-old Despatch man was arrested early on Sunday, for allegedly stabbing his 23-year old friend in the chest.
She says the two were drinking together at a place in Despatch on Saturday evening, when they became involved in an argument.
The 23-year old died at the scene.
The suspect will appear in the Uitenhage Magistrates' court on Tuesday.
