Two men are expected to appear in court in Uitenhage today for being in posession of dagga worth an estimated R700 000.
Police lieutenant colonel Priscilla Naidu says the men were arrested on Friday evening on the Addo Road.
She says police on patrol became suspicious when a bakkie with tinted windows passed them.
Naidu says when police pulled them over and searched the vehicle using a sniffer dog, they found a large quantity of dagga packed in several bags.
She says they believe the dagga originated in Mthatha and was destined for Port Elizabeth.
