Police in Mthatha are looking for information that may lead to the arrest of those responsible for the murder of two men aged 35 and 45 at Lutholi locality on Sunday night.
Captain Dineo Koena says the bodies were found early on Monday morning by a herdsman minding his livestock in a field.
The two men were lying in a donga and they'd both been stabbed multiple times in the upper body.
Captain Koena says a burnt-out Ford Ranger, believed to belong to one of the deceased, was found nearby.
The motive for the killings is not yet known and anyone with information is asked to contact the Mthatha police as a matter of urgency.
