Two Port Elizabeth men have been arrested for allegedly being in posession of stolen VW car parts worth an estimated 200-thousand rand.
Police spokesperson, captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, says the men were arrested in Bethelsdorp on Wednesday afternoon as they began to off-load the new car parts at a scap dealer.
She says the parts included batteries and air-bags.
Janse Van Rensburg says the men who work for a courier company are being held at the Gelvandale police station and will appear in court soon.
She says Uitenhage police will likely also begin an investigation into the stolen car parts from the VW factory.
