Two killed in taxi accident outside Port Elizabeth

A man and a woman were killed and 14 people, including a 3-month old baby, were injured, in an accident on the N-2 outside Port Elizabeth on Friday afternoon. 

Provincial traffic spokesperson, Charles Bramwell says a taxi, transporting 16 people, was traveling from Humansdorp towards Port Elizabeth when it overturned near the Greenbushes offramp.

He says five of the injured were taken to hospital in serious condition, while one critically injured person was airlifted to a hospital in Port Elizabeth.

Bramwell says the driver of the minibus apparently lost control, and police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
