Port Elizabeth police are investigating a shooting incident which left two people dead in the city's northern areas on Friday afternoon.
Spokesperson, WO Alwin Labans says the incident happened in Kobus Road, Helenvale at around 2.30pm.
He says a suspect, wearing a balaclava, fired several shots at a 48-year old man, who died at the scene.
Labans says a 20-year old man, who was standing at a street corner, was hit in the chest, and later died in a nearby house.
He says the shooting was not gang-related, and the suspect is still at large.
On Friday morning, a 31-year old man was wounded in a gang-related shooting in the same area.
Labans says 5 shots were fired.
The wounded man was hit twice in the buttocks, and admitted to hospital in a stable condition.
No-one has been arrested.
