At least two people were killed in separate road accidents in Port Elizabeth on Saturday morning.
In the first accident on the N-2 near the M-4 intersection, one person was killed when the driver of the vehicle in which he was a passenger, lost control, and it overturned.
Provincial traffic spokesperson, Charles Bramwell says two others were slightly injured, and transported to a local hospital.
Bramwell says in the second accident on the R-75 between PE and Uitenhage at around 08:00am, a motorcyclist died in a head-on collision with a car.
He says the accident happened near Vanes Estate.
Bramwell says the motorcycle burst into flames on impact. and the motorcyclist was killed instantly.
Two passengers in the car were injured and rushed to Uitenhage Provincial Hospital.
Bramwell says the driver of the car escaped unharmed.
