Two people were killed and eight others injured in two separate road accidents on the N-2 between Port Elizabeth and Grahamstown on Wednesday.
Provincial traffic spokesperson, Charles Bramwell says the first accident was on the N2 near the Amakhale Game Reserve involving an SUV with a trailer and a light motor vehicle which collided head-on.
The driver of the LMV was trapped inside his vehicle and died on impact. Six people were injured of which one was critical.
Bramwell says the second accident happened just before 9 pm on the N2 near Colchester.
A vehicle overturned killing one person.
Two people were seriously injured.
Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
