Two people were killed in an accident between a passenger bus and a cash in transit vehicle on the N-6 between Cathcart and Queenstown.
Eastern Cape Traffic Department spokesperson, Charles Bramwell said the accident happened on Monday afternoon.
Bramwell said the driver of the cash in transit vehicle allegedly collided with the passenger bus near Komani Hospital.
"It is alleged that the cash in transit vehicle made a U-turn in front of the oncoming bus and as a result, the driver of this cash in transit vehicle was killed on impact as well as the conductor of the bus," he said.
Bramwell said there were no passengers on the bus at the time of the accident.
The South African Police Service is investigating a case of culpable homicide.
