Two people were killed and a third wounded in one of two suspected gang shootings in Port Elizabeth's Northern Areas on Monday night.
Police spokesperson, Captain Johan Rheeder, says 24-year-old Lee Irvin Pierce and 19-year-old Laiqah Abrahams, were killed when one or more gunmen opened fire on people in a house in Bethelsdorp Extension 32.
He says a third person in the house managed to escape unhurt.
Rheeder says its not known how many shooters there were but police recovered 11 shell casings from the scene in Crossberry Street.
Meanwhile, he says a case of attempted murder is being investigated following a shooting in Gelvandale on Monday.
Rheeder says a 21 year old man was walking in Goliath Street when shots were fired at him.
He says the man was hit in both legs and has been admitted to hospital.
