Two killed in EC head-on crash

Two people were killed in a head-on collision in the Eastern Cape.

The Provincial Transport Department said the accident happened on Friday afternoon between a VW.

Spokesperson, Unathi Binqose, said the accident occurred on the N2 near Rhayi Location, Qonce.

"Both occupants of the bakkie, a male and female, died on the scene while the driver of the Polo, who was alone in the vehicle, sustained injuries," he said.

A culpable homicide has been opened.
