Two killed in accident between Port Elizabeth and Uitenhage

Two people were killed and eight others seriously injured in an accident on the R75 between Port Elizabeth and Uitenhage on Saturday evening.

Police spokesperson, WO Dumile Gwavu says three vehicles were involved in the accident which happened at around 8pm.

He says two people were declared dead at the scene, and the injured were taken to three PE hospitals.

The road was closed for a few hours.

Police are investigating cases of culpable homicide.
