A 15-year-old boy has been arrested for hacking another teenager to death with an axe in a village near Butterworth in the Eastern Cape.
Police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha says the two had attended a traditional ceremony in the village on Saturday, and became involved in an argument.
He says one boy went home to fetch an axe.
Manatha says he allegedly returned and attacked the other boy, also aged 15.
The victim was taken to hospital, but died upon arrival.
The teenager will appear in the Butterworth Magistrate's Court on Monday on a charge of murder.
