Two men have been killed following a house robbery in Motherwell, Port Elizabeth.
Police Captain Andre Beetge says a heavily armed gang broke into the house of a policewoman at about ten o clock this morning.
She is stationed at the New Brighton police station
The men stole her firearm, house keys, parts of her police uniform and fled in her Ford Figo
Beetge says the tactical response unit noticed a suspicious vehicle and gave chase.
"As police approached the occupants of the vehicle jumped out and started firing at police. TRT responded and fired back. Two suspects were killed and three injured . They are are currently in hospital under police guard" he said.
