The Anti-Gang unit is investigating a case of murder and attempted murder after two women were shot in Kamesh at Kariega on Saturday.
Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg says they were found with multiple gunshot wounds in Pelican Street, Rosedale.
She says one woman was declared dead at the scene while the other, a 16-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment.
The deceased was identified as 23- year-old Keziah Kleinbooi.
Captain Janse van Rensburg says the motive is suspected to be gang-related, and no arrests have yet been made.
