Two suspects have appeared in court for the murder of Hofmeyr farmer, Louis Traut.
Eighty-year-old Traut died after being stabbed in his house on Sunday night.
Traut's 48-year old wife Coleen, and two adult daughters, Mariska and Louisa, were also allegedly assaulted during the incident.
Police spokesperson, captain Stefanie Smith, says 24-year-old Bonga Dayimane and 26-year-old Andile Kewuti, appeared in the Hofmeyr magistrate court on Wednesday on a charge of murder.
She says the case was postponed to next Tuesday for further investigation and the pair will remain in custody.
