Two men have appeared in court in Alexandria in the Eastern Cape in connection with a robbery and rape at Kariega Game Reserve earlier this month.
Police spokesperson, lieutenant Luvuyo Mjekula, says the men aged 18 and 28, were arrested this week in a joint investigation by Port Alfred Crime Intelligence members and detectives from Kenton on Sea.
He says they were arrested in the Kenton on Sea area on Wednesday.
Mjekula says they face charges of rape, robbery and theft.
Their case was postponed today to the 14th of January for further investigation and to allow them to apply for legal aid.
