Police in Port Elizabeth's northern areas are investigating two cases of attempted murder following gang-related shootings on Tuesday night.
Police spokesperson, warrant officer Alwin Labans, says one person was wounded in the hand when a lone gunman fired six shots at him in Billet Street, Gelvandale, late last night.
He says in another incident a 26-year-old man had a narrow escape when three men fired several shots at him in Helenvale.
No arrests have been made in either cases.
Meanwhile, Labans says a case of murder is being investigated after the body a man was found in bushes behind Kwanoxolo on the Uitenhage Road.
He says the victim, in his late 20's or early 30's, had several wounds to the head as well as a suspected gunshot wound to the stomach.
His identity is not yet known and no arrests have been made.
