Port St Johns police are seeking community assistance in solving the murder case of a taxi driver and his conductor.
Captain Cynthia Handile, said the bodies of the victims, aged 24 and 32, were discovered next to the R-61 road by a community member who was looking for his goats on Saturday.
Handile said the man noticed a burnt taxi and upon investigation found the burnt bodies of the men with their hands tied behind their back near the vehicle.
She said police established that the taxi had been travelling from the direction of Mthatha.
"At this moment there is no one has been arrested and the police are still investigating the case. We are appealing to anyone who has information which can lead to the arrest of those people who killed the two men," she said.
The names of the victims have not been released yet.
