Queenstown Public Order Policing Unit members deployed at Dutywa arrested two suspects driving a sedan that was hijacked in Cape Town's Nyanga Township recently.
The suspects were found in possession of four unlicensed fire arms with their serial numbers filed off.
They were also found in possession of 42 live rounds of ammunition.
Captain Jackson Manatha said the men have been charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, and illegal possession of fire arms and ammunition.
Manatha said the fire arms will be sent for ballistic testing as the police strongly suspect that they had been used in the commission of crimes around the country.
The suspects will appear in the Dutywa Magistrate Court on Wednesday.
