Eastern Cape police are investigating a case of culpable homicide, after two people were killed in an accident on the N2 near Grahamstown early on Saturday morning.
Spokesperson, Capt. Mali Govender says the accident happened about 5km from the Seven Fountains turnoff towards Port Elizabeth.
She says a 32-year old woman and a 3-year old girl died at the scene, while two people, a man and a woman, were taken to hospital.
Govender says it is believed that a burst tyre was the cause of the accident.
She says the names of the deceased will be released after their next-of-kin have been informed.
