Two cyclists have lost their lives in separate incidents in Mossel Bay on Tuesday morning.
In the first incident, a cyclist was exercising in Hartenbos at around 9 am, when according to eyewitnesses, he fell off his bike.
Emergency services were called and the man was declared dead on the scene.
The cause of his death is not yet known.
In an unrelated incident, another cyclist was hit by a vehicle near Great Brak River on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson, Captain Laurriane Botha says the man, in his 60’s was cycling on the R102 road when he was hit by a vehicle.
She says the driver of the vehicle told police that the cyclist was in the yellow lane before allegedly swerving in front of the vehicle.
Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide. The identity of the two cyclists has not yet been released.
