Two Eastern Cape boys, who underwent an illegal circumcision, were hospitalised late on Sunday.
The provincial health department says a team of police and health officials responded to a call from one of the villages.
Department spokesperson, Sizwe Kupelo says the boys were suffering from dehydration and hallucinations.
He says they were found in a forest near Sicambeni village and taken to hospital.
Kupelo says police are searching for the person who performed the illegal circumcisions.
