Police in Gqeberha are investigating a double homicide after two women were shot and killed on Saturday.
Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the women's bodies were found at about 7.30 pm, lying next to each other in the Joe Slovo settlement.
She says one victim sustained two gunshot wounds and died on the scene while the other sustained a wound to her forehead and died the following day in hospital.
Colonel Naidu says they now need help from the community to identify these women who are believed to be in their mid to late twenties.
She says one victim is rumoured to be from Kwazekhele while the other woman has a tattoo on her right arm that depicts an open book.
Any person with information is asked to contact the police.
The motive for the murders is not known.
